Sherri Silverman

Sherri Silverman is a self-taught artist with a doctorate in Creativity, Art, & the Sacred and Application of Asian Concepts. Fifty years of meditation practice informs her energy and approach to art. Her explorations of inner being, consciousness, and beauty have given rise to art that evokes happiness, wonder, serenity, and an expansive feeling of sacred space.

Sherri’s artwork is on permanent display in the New Mexico Capitol Art Collection in the State Capitol in Santa Fe. Private and corporate collections include Fidelity Investment, Verizon, and LANB/Enterprise Bank. Juried group exhibitions include the Bolinas Museum, Sonoma Museum of Visual Art, Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, Pensacola Museum of Art, and TEDxMARIN. Solo shows have taken place in Florida, Colorado, and New Mexico. Her work was selected for inclusion for the 2006 book 100 Artists of the Southwest. Sherri has been Artist in Residence at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art and at the Cambridge Oakland Artist Residency Program.

Sherri developed and taught an interdisciplinary course on the creative process as Visiting Professor for the Honors Programs at the University of North Florida and the University of New Mexico in1994 and 1996.

After decades in Santa Fe, Sherri has lived and worked in west Marin County, California, near San Francisco since 2016.
