Richard Turtletaub

San Francisco-based artist Richard Turtletaub specializes in painting in multiple styles. His artistic output is a distillation of his love for art of many forms, from the work of Italian Renaissance masters to 20th century Italian industrial design, from Cubism to contemporary motion graphics, from Film Noir to Japanese textile design.

As a graphic designer, Richard has been awarded for his magazine layouts and has had work exhibited in various design publications. His illustrations have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post among many other publications. He has created projected graphics for live theater for which he won a Theater Bay Area award in 2019.

His paintings were selected to appear in both the 2020 and 2023 deYoung Open (triennial) exhibitions in San Francisco.

Recently he has created installations that combine projected imagery with paintings and graphics.
