Walter Kennedy is a visual artist and photographer. He bridges photography, collage, and installation to explore the poetic tension between form, perception, and memory. Rooted in a conceptual practice, Kennedy uses shape, shadow, texture, and layered imagery to challenge the limits of photographic representation. His projects often blur the lines between the real and the abstract, inviting viewers to reconsider how meaning is constructed through visual language. He frequently integrates projections, cut-paper compositions, and found materials into his image-making process. Kennedy's art questions what is seen versus what is felt, and how absence can be as evocative as presence. He draws inspiration from architecture, minimalism, and the quiet symbolism of everyday spaces. His work has been exhibited in galleries and art spaces across the United States and internationally. Kennedy is based in San Francisco, California. He continues to explore new methods of visual storytelling that foreground emotion, materiality, and abstraction.
