Shirley Hui was once a gallerist who enjoyed showing works of Korean painters. Shirley is now living with Alzheimer's in a care home. Her loving husband wanted a painting of his wife, and showed me many images of her from those gallery days, alongside paintings in her gallery, including a painting of Shirley herself. Thus, I painted present-day Shirley looking at a younger version of herself with impressionistic versions of the other paintings in her gallery in the background.
