“Betty” is a longtime artist’s model who posed for a beginner’s workshop I took on drawing the face at Sacramento’s Crocker Art Museum in January 2020. I loved her look, her very definitive coloring (perfect for a black and white drawing) and her attitude, as exemplified by her spiky hair. I’m pleased with the textural quality and dramatic high contrast of the completed drawing.
