I chose this painting because it is of my youngest daughter who is now 13 - but at the time she was 12 and still more playful than composed. We had rented a house for the weekend in Anderson valley, ca and it had a little pool that she swam around in all by herself. The painting is of her emerging from the pool - joyous and full of life!! So happy just to be paddling around a pool on her own.
