During covid as the world got smaller zoom drawing world got larger! I would be in SF drawing in my studio with the hosting group in London and the model in Portugal and drawers from over the globe participating. After awhile I got to know the regulars and always looked forward to seeing their new work. One was Yolanda, from east LA. Then one night instead of drawing she became the model and I finally really got to see her. Such a strong character. This drawing drew itself - one of those rare times when there is no struggle and when done, I gazed at it wondering how I did that!!! I've since gone to LA and met Yolanda in person.
