Uncharted is a self portrait inspired by travel in Morocco. I entered a dark room underneath a staircase and stared up. As I did so my mind was reeling from the cultural inconsistencies of the Arab world, the incredible beauty juxtaposed against the seeming chaos of the Islamic world. My moth formed the word "Why?" over and over again. There is so much beauty and so much we don't understand about our Middle Eastern neighbors.
