Billy was a student of mine at NY Academy of Art. We became pals and he agreed to sit for a portrait at my studio which was temporarily at my apartment and only 25 square feet. Ridiculous. Easel, two chairs and art supplies stashed in the closet. Billy worked with disabled kids when not painting. He was vastly empathetic and was naturally open. He only sat for me once for about three hours. I finished the tat stuff later. There was zero struggle on this one, rare occasion. There is Billy, empathy and all. We are still buddies and he is a accomplished artist in NYC.
