Joey played gigs with a famous band in San Francisco. The band enjoyed popularity for a relatively short time during the sixties. The optimism of the times and the promise of abundance eventually gave way to harder times for Joey. The band broke up and as he tells it “I got an addicted and blew a lot of money.” He's a living compendium of stories typical of the era. He's often encountered roaming the streets of San Francisco the among the last of the artifacts of the sixties.
