I love live portrait paintings because it gives me the great opportunity to explore the diverse people's beauties. This was one of the main reasons that I wanted to paint this African American lady and her beautiful facial features was so uniquely different from all the portrait paintings that I had ever painted before. I spent 2 days almost 3 hours each day to finish it.
I believe a good portrait painting has to capture the genuine emotion, race and ethnicity
