My brother died last year. In looking at old photos I found this one with in my back yard . We were all 13 and 14. Working with this photo I was able to dive into that time period and reflect on our life then and now. My niece and I were the same age and my brother and my nephew were the same age. Nick my brother is flexing his biceps, he was really butching it up for the camera. I also was trying to be butch but not sure why. My niece on the other was a super femme beauty, looking glamorous in the midst of our worn out house. My nephew was just peeking around the corner. Nick and I survived a lot a trauma; he became a caregiver and I became non-binary. Roseann became a mother.
