I painted this strange self portrait from a photo reference. It's kind of "pastel" color-wise because I painted over wet, white paint, kind of like bob ross with his "magic white" ™. I have so many bad paintings, not that this is any better than the bad ones, but this is painted over a bad one. It's kind of freeing to paint over a painting. it's like you've got nothing to lose because the canvas is hurting to have a good painting on it, not one that is boring, not worth looking at or talking about. Hopefully, it's psychological or insightful and says something that only a painting can say, but that's a tall order. I just do what I can each time I paint.
