Images of children can at once represent the future and the past, depending on how you relate to them. If it's an image of yourself, the child represents the past. If it's of someone else's child, it can represent the future. I wanted to use the language of grids and squares to represent to modern digital image construction while the dots and ink bleeds to represent the the past.
