During the pandemic, live figure drawing seemed like it would disappear as a past time gathering of artists. However, the models pivoted and hosted zoom sessions. The sense of community drawing in Zoom rooms with artists from all over the world was inspiring! After 18+ months of zoom poses and flat screens, my eyes and mind were accustomed to the flat view of models. One of my favorite zoom models was Emily Metalskin. This particular pose was exhilarating and memorable because it was the first LIVE model session in San Francisco. My mind was blown away by focusing on a 3D human form. Sensory overload! I finally got to meet Emily Metalskin in person and indeed she is REAL REAL.
