This is Merav Tzur, and a transcendent art model whom I had the great privilege of working with for twenty six years.
This drawing was made during a rare “still” moment. She often seemed as if you had come across her unawares, nothing contrived or directed towards the viewer; but in this case, her gaze was full on. I found it powerful and highly affecting.
