When riding my bike or walking in my hometown Oakland, I meet so many interesting people that make this community such a great place. One Easter Sunday, I was riding my bike down Grand Avenue and met this lovely couple on their way to Church. They were so vibrant that I had to stop and introduce myself and tell them how wonderful and special they were. They were kind enough to let me take their picture so that I could paint their portrait. To this day, I wish I had had the presence of mind to ask for their email to share the artwork with them. I hope by participating in the de Young's project, I may be able to reunite them with their portrait.
