In December 2020, after 10 months of lockdown, my 89-year-old father learned how to use FaceTime. The first time we saw each other on the phone, we both wept.
A daily Facetime routine ensued. The calls became a lifeline as we navigated through the loss, fear, exhilaration, loneliness, and joy of Pandemic Year Two, heading into Year Three.
I began taking screen shots of our conversations and turning them into photo etchings.
