As I painted this woman, in the apron, I imagined her life to be one, probably satisfying and happy but most likely not one of leisure. She works hard for her family and herself most likely putting the needs of others first.
While she maybe young, she feels old; the toils of life, having worn grooves into her hands and her skin. Yet, I imagine she is kind to others and enjoys her life.
