He is my deceased best friend Mario Gomez, whom married my sister and became my brother in law. He passed away unexpectedly years ago, I am still dealing with losing Mario, painting him has been very cathartic. Losing those you love is very difficult, especially when we do not talk about death and loss of loved ones growing up in western society.
