From a black and white picture i painted a colorful painting of my own wedding day. This painting reminds me how much my aunts loved me. I left my abuser and never looked back. My dream of a happy marriage was shattered and i stayed single. Only the love and support from my family kept me alive today. In Indian culture wedding is given too much importance and they don't support divorce women. I express my own stories through my art and empower women around the globe.
