moved by the power of eyes to reveal personality and character, throughout the pandemic I’ve been drawing friends and family, when masked, at random moments. My friend Otto, wearing his headphones together with his mask, had created a self-contained space for himself. I wanted to capture this solidity that reflects his character. He is self-reliant, independent and a firm fixture in my life.
