This painting of my brother. Bill, resulted from a bet we made. I lost. So per our agreement, I had to paint his portrait. I love my brother dearly. We are very close, literally. We're next door neighbors. Though we are both older, we still treat each other like young kids. We're always teasing each other, never letting a chance of a ribbing pass by. Through doing this portrait I learned how patient and understanding Bill can be. He waited over two years for me to fulfill my bet debt. Yet another cause of good hearted teasing. While I truly I tried to realistically painted the shadows on his face, Bill says it looks like I gave him a black eye as a revenge for losing the bet.
