This painting is part of a series entitled “Eternal Laundry”. Jennifer, my sister is the protagonist in this piece. To me eternal laundry is a metaphor for for making a conscious choice to shift the idea of chores, mundane activities and even negative thought patterns into a positive, empowering and possibly ecstatic experience (no static ‘Cling Free’…yes, even fitted sheets). Just like laundry, it is an on-going effort to get to this place. In the meantime, I would like to thank my sister for helping me put a dent in my eternal laundry.
