I am now 70 years old. As I have aged, I have realized that people, especially family and friends, are the most important part of my life. I embarked on a series of watercolor portraits of my siblings and parents. My submission is taken from my parents engagement portrait. They were married in May 1945. My father is Irish and some of the decorative elements are based on designs from the Book of Kells. My mother is Czech. Both are first generation Americans.
