Often inspired by actual people I’ve seen momentarily at a real place from everyday life, my figurative paintings are usually reimagined from memory. The visual representation suggests a particular person or place, but tends to be more a portrait of the human condition.

"Dalmation Girl" was young visitor attending an Open Studios event at my art studio in her Halloween costume. I was impressed by her innocence, and how comfortable she was within her fashion choice at a public event. I wanted to capture that moment in a way a photograph is not able to do.
