She was a frequent model in the studio I often attended. Her usual demeanor was cheerful, but when she put on this hat her expression changed to something sad and contemplative - contemplation is not rare in models, they tend to drift off into an internal world - but there was something poignant in the downward tilt of her head. That, and the shadow cast by the hat brim, made me feel I was seeing a side of her usually kept secret.. Ten-minute pose, I had to work very fast.
