Vera Vita was my great-aunt who passed away in September of 2021. She was 94 years old and died of Covid 19.

Photographing my Aunt Vera Vita was a delightful experience. She had always been the person to carry a camera, photographing every aspect of every family event. Aunt Vera was thrilled when I asked her to pose for me one afternoon, and she deserved to be in the limelight. Her playful, yet thoughtful mood was put into play that special day in 2016, and she enjoyed her moment in the camera eye. Her sweet and loving nature is on full display in the photo of her holding a wedding picture with her long deceased husband, Joe.

She was a special woman, my Auntie, always remembered.
