Memory of a recurring dream from childhood. In the dream, a bunny would show up in sporadic intervals. Each time he popped up, elements in my environment would disappear. Eventually, there was nothing around me; I was floating in space. This self-portrait marks the transition into the next phase of the dream—a moment I always dreaded, no matter how many times I've experienced the dream. With each subsequent appearance of the bunny, my body became more distorted and blurry. I was reduced into nothing but translucent light. But once I reached that state, all my fears disappeared. I felt completely free. I stopped having this dream around age 7. But I still think about it daily.
