This is the first portrait that I ever painted. It is very special because it is a portrait of my granddaughter Piper. I painted it when Piper lived far away across the country and every day while I was painting, I felt as though she was there with me. The painting really expresses her personality. Piper is 17 years old now and she is still that spunky little girl.
