As an abstract painter, I utilize color, form, and texture to convey feelings as visual expressions of my subject.
During Covid-19, I wanted to show appreciation for an essential worker, so I painted an abstract portrait of a farmer (Nadine) who became a crucial food provider in her area.
Nadine shared: “I feel compassion for the people that are struggling, and their worlds have become very volatile. I feel fortunate, because during this chaos, our team has deepened our connections and strength.”
As an artist painting Nadine, her feelings of gratitude, deepened by feelings of compassion.
