During pandemic isolation, I used much of my time learning portraiture via YouTube and honing my soft pastel painting skills. My husband was only available subject. This pandemic portrait of him with unkempt “Covid hair” and cheerful smile made me realize how very lucky and happy I was to be safe and living in relative comfort during an otherwise lonely and fraught time.
