The pandemic made me look at noses, and at mouths and eyelashes. I started painting faces on Zoom. Zoom allows me to move in close, closer than I might in person, and study every nuance.
This is a Kenyatta, who looks like a different person every day. She started as a model but, having spent eons with her on Zoom, I now call her a friend.
