In my work, humans are represented in bare-bones ways, sometimes just faces and nothing more. Whether through portraits of lone figures or an array of many, I intend to get to the essence of representations of people. I also feel that the individuals present in my work represent different aspects of myself, and this psychological element has grown stronger while I have spent many hours alone in the studio in the face of the pandemic. Through my art practice, I come face to face both with my impressions of people and myself.
