For Love is a piece I finished today, June 14. She is me, but also me through the telling of a Hans Christian Anderson tale called the Wild Swans. Because of her love for her brothers, she sacrificed much of herself and risked her life to save them from a curse.

For me, as a disabled artist, I would do anything I could to keep my freedom and ability to live freely on my own. I have Multiple Sclerosis, and before I was diagnosed in 2001 I didn't know what was wrong with me. I felt angry and alone. Now knowing my diagnosis I am able to express my joy, fear, anger, love of life through clay, which also heals my hands. I feel blessed.
