I have vivid memories of this past friend's creative, inventive nature, such as the time she displayed a collection of tiny yellow objects in her San Francisco apartment as if in a gallery. Since we've had no contact in a long time, this portrait helps me honor an inspiring and whimsical memory of our youthful friendship. Now another friend happens to live in her old apartment and the tiny yellow objects haunt my memory whenever I visit there.
