Marvin Werlin was a portrait, still life and narrative painting artist and teacher. I met him one year after my father died. Marvin and I shared mutual love of old movies. Each week he would loan me a vhs tape of a movie. I'd watch the movie and discuss it the following class. Soon I was taping TCM movies for him. Marvin was like a father to me and will be missed.
