Julia volunteered to sit for a painting demonstration that I was doing at the San Luis Obispo Art Center (Now the San Luis Art Museum). I was happy to have her as a model because she was a good artist whose work I knew and admired. We got acquainted and she liked this portrait. I can't say that I knew her well or over a long period but this portrait is my remembrance of her and it is pretty accurate of her humanity.
