With such a fast paced society that is always going, going, going, stepping back to reflect, contemplate, and appreciate the subtleties of another’s face in real time can feel daunting and, at times, seemingly impossible.
With a preference of working with a sitter face to face, sometimes it is only possible to achieve the depth and slow yet assured quickness of strokes by putting up the mirror to enjoy sitting in the company of my own self for a while.
