Brutally Untitled 6 started out as a graphite drawing, which I then began to work into a linocut. The original linocut intended to have the (fictional) pregnant woman standing before a blackboard or whiteboard with nuclear theory written on it. However, I was displeased with the progress of the linocut and instead transferred the image, and radically altered it, in a soft ground etching on steel, and it now depicts the woman desperately making a phone call using a(n old) payphone. I added to the image by burnishing the steel, and adding engraved lines. This is the third stage of the plate.
